A lot of buzz has been going around regarding the upcoming season of The Hills, in which Lauren Conrad takes off and Kristin Cavallari steps in. The stars of the series, attention-hungry as they are, have already given their thoughts on the new installment.
According to Stephanie Pratt’s interview with MTV News, the tagline in the trailer is definitely true when it comes to Cavallari and her bitchiness. Since her appearance on Laguna Beach, there have been some changes to the star. The attitude is definitely more intense this time around.

“It’s been five years, and I think she had a good five years to really get her bitchiness ready for The Hills,” Pratt revealed. Even Cavallari admitted she enjoys being the bad girl on this season, particularly because she’s trying to attract Audrina’s on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin Bobby.
Stephanie Pratt says that’s only the beginning of the chaotic love triangle that The Hills is diving into this year. Things will get even spicier for the cast now that Kristin and Audrina are sharpening their claws to fight over this guy. Is this the new Lauren-Heidi rivalry we’re about to see?
“Justin and Kristin make out, Kristin and Audrina hate each other” is Stephanie’s own gist of the whole story, which will snowball into a wild mess of a reality TV show. Fans will surely be anticipating all that when The Hills premieres its new season next week.
“I thought [the Justin and Kristin relationship] was the huge story, because it completely broke up sides and friendships and was a complete old mess,” Pratt went on. “Basically, I’m gonna sum this up as the Justin/Audrina/Kristin triangle — everyone thought that was crazy when they heard about it, [but] what’s in motion right now should be a different show.”
Don’t miss new episodes of The Hills as they premiere next Tuesday, September 29 at 10pm on MTV.

What the eff. If Spencer Pratt is kidding, that’d be great. But given the size of this guy’s ego, we’re never sure. The Hills
star discussed his thoughts on his wife’s foray into music during the Miss Universe pageant, which was months ago. He just can’t let go of the attention.
While many believed Heidi Montag was imitating Britney Spears, her husband believes that she’s more than that. During an interview with Jessi Cruickshank, host of The Hills: The After Show, Speidi announced how they were on par with the late music icon Michael Jackson. Unbelievable.
Spencer Pratt said that seeing Heidi on stage, he realized that she’s the “the new, modern-day, 2010 Michael Jackson.” He just couldn’t keep his mouth shut, saying how the legendary musician’s “spirit” could be residing in Heidi’s body. Please, we’re pretty sure the man’s soul has better things to do than inhabit a fame-starved reality star.
Oh, but Spencer didn’t stop there. He says Heidi is “way bigger” than Michael Jackson. What exactly is he referring to? Bigger ego comes to mind.
“Michael Jackson’s in heaven,” the Hills celebrity announced. “The Holy Spirit now has extra Michael Jackson juice, so boom! For all we know, Heidi gets possessed with some of that Michael Jackson divine spirit.”
As for Heidi, she told Us Weekly about looking up to Britney Spears and hoping to be the next pop sensation. “I grew up watching Britney Spears,” the Hills actress said. “That’s someone I aspire to be, you know, like, career-wise.”
Well, she certainly has a lot of competition for that title and the spotlight. Even so, there’s something else Heidi aspires to be. “I think the world is ready for the next pop star, and I’m ready to be the next pop galaxy, so here we go.” Sometimes we just can’t wait to pop that pimple out of existence.
Now that she has secured a place in the entertainment biz, Audrina Patridge feels that it’s time to move on from “The Hills“. She is going to follow Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port’s footsteps in quitting the MTV reality show which will begin a new season with Kristin Cavallari center-stage this Fall.

“I’m almost done with The Hills. We’re in the middle of finishing these episodes, and I’ll be leaving then,” Audrina revealed at the press junket for her new movie “Sorority Row”. She described the feeling as “graduating” elaborating further, “I’m moving on. At times, I feel like I’m in high school, but I didn’t even go through this stuff in high school.”
Audrina is, however, thankful for the experience she gained while on “The Hills”, saying “I feel like it’s helped me a lot going to auditions and sitting in front of the camera … blocking the camera out and just getting into character.”
It was confirmed back in March that Audrina has developed a new show with “Survivor” executive producer Mark Burnett.
“The Hills” premieres a new season on September 29.
Audrina Patridge’s project outside “The Hills” is shaping up with the announcement of a title and casting news. The tentative title given to her MTV show which is also dubbed ‘reality’ is “The Colony”. Shooting will begin in August and the producers are looking for a bunch of people to be Audrina’s new circle of friends.

“The show is currently casting for Audrina’s new BFFs,” a source told Star Magazine. “They have chosen a girl pursuing a music career. The others will also have some sort of artsy interest.” Audrina in fact, gets a say in choosing which people deserve to be her new friends. “She wants to make sure they find people she actually wants to get to know,” the source added.
Audrina’s solo show was confirmed in March this year through a statement from producer Mark Burnett. “We are truly pleased to have the chance to work with Audrina,” Mark said as quoted by THR. “She has already proved her star quality, and we can’t wait to show her fans worldwide the next stage of her life and career.”
Unlike another “Hills” alumna Whitney Port who left the show completely to start her own (“The City”), Audrina is still attached to “Hills”. She is involved in the second half of season 5 where Lauren Conrad is no longer the centerpiece. Kristin Cavallari is replacing LC, and this person apparently is not a favorite to Audrina. “When someone gets in my face, I have to defend myself,” Audrina previously stated her position.
Lauren Conrad has burst the bubble by indicating it plain and publicly that “The Hills” is staged. During Lauren’s “The View” appearance on Thursday, June 18, host Elisabeth Hasselbeck asked her about whether she thought Spencer Pratt was being sincere when apologizing to her through phone about the sex tape rumor. Lauren said she wasn’t on the other side of the line.
Lauren was hesitant to answer the question at first but then she said, “To be perfectly honest, I wasn’t on the other line of that call.” She continued, “That was filmed and I wasn’t on the other end… So I didn’t even know about it.”

Ironically, just a few days before that, Spencer was on “The View” addressing the same issue to the women. He admitted to lying about the sex tape rumor he spread back in 2007 in order to get Lauren into his wedding with Heidi Montag. “I apologized because that is what got (Conrad) to our wedding,” Spencer said. “I said I’m sorry because (Conrad) said, ‘I will come to the wedding if you say I’m sorry.’ “
Since the apology was never delivered, Sherri Shepherd asked Lauren why she eventually came to the wedding. Lauren answered, “It’s a little hard to understand now, but a long time ago – years ago, we moved here together, we were best friends and we used to say – ‘Someday, at our wedding…’ I felt like it was a few hours of my time and as much as I didn’t agree with it, I might some day regret not doing it.”
Lauren Conrad was on the talk show to promote her debut novel “L.A. Candy” which has been in stores.
Spencer and Heidi Pratt have been facing more controversies these days, fresh from their stint on I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here. This morning, the two Hills stars appeared on the NBC morning news show, Today. Apparently, they didn’t leave the drama back in the jungles of Costa Rica. They took it to Al Roker for their interview.
Speidi, recently dubbed the “newlywed nuisance” of the wild, weren’t too pleased with how the weatherman’s questioning went. The two believed that they were going to be speaking with the show’s host Matt Lauer, but they got quite a grilling from Al Roker instead. None of the parties involved were amused.
Some of the comments that Al Roker posed included calling Spencer Pratt the show’s villain, going so far as saying he was a “jerk.” He even started off by saying Speidi was “the poster children for everything that’s wrong with celebrity in this country.” Below, you can find the video clip of what happened on the Today show.
Obviously, Al Roker got on the nerves of Hills diva Heidi Pratt, because she later made an appearance on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show to defend herself and her husband. “To be honest, I would never be interviewed by that man again,” she grumbled. “I really would advise women especially to be careful around him, because I feel like he definitely came and attacked me, and I did not appreciate that at all.”
Meanwhile, Spencer Pratt echoed her sentiments but with more perplexity than rage. “I’m still trying to figure out: Was the weatherman asking us questions?” he exclaimed.
His wife went on, claiming that what she underwent was humiliating and nothing she expected from the Today show. “I was shocked at how rude he was,” the Hills star continued. “I was crying afterwards because I couldn’t believe I felt personally attacked. He was yelling at me and saying, ‘Do you feel proud of this, do you feel proud of this?’ I wanted to say to him, ‘Do you feel proud of how you’re talking to me right now? I’m just a young woman and you’re coming at me so aggressively and meanly and mean-spirited.’”
As for Al Roker, he couldn’t get Speidi out of his head and even posted on his Twitter about them. “Heidi and Spencer are an interesting couple. famous for…being infamous. Bad and vacuous behavior. I think we’re at minute 11 of their 15.” He later added nonchalantly, “And the firestorm over Speidi continues. She claims I attacked her.”
While it seems as though Al Roker could’ve been too intimidating for Speidi, it’s likely that the whole incident is just another of their ploys for publicity. Of course, it’s no surprise to us if it turns out that way.
