Look who’s picking favorites. After news of her inking the deal to turn bestselling novel LA Candy into a movie, Lauren Conrad is already thinking about who to star in it. While she might want the spotlight for herself, she believes someone else needs a turn. Who else would come to mind but her best friend, Lo Bosworth?
MTV News reported that Lauren pointed out how Lo has had formal training in the past, so casting her for LA Candy would be appropriate enough. Besides, the whole flick is about a girl in a reality TV series. We’d all be surprised if she wouldn’t get that role right.
“I would like Lo Bosworth,” Conrad responded when asked about who she’d choose to star on LA Candy. “Lo has taken a couple of acting classes in her life.”
But if that doesn’t work out, she just won’t stop looking for someone to fit the bill. “I have to do research. We’ll see,” she said. “I feel like I’m going to shoot for someone crazy amazing, and then they’re going to be like, ‘Ugh, yeah, I’ll do your movie.’”
Despite her relationship with Lo, LC isn’t keeping up with her on The Hills that much anymore. With the new season having premiered without her, she just couldn’t quite stand watching it. On her interview, she wished the series the best of luck even though she’s no longer the star.
“I didn’t watch it, no,” Lauren Conrad admitted. “I mean, I love Lo, but to be honest, I hope it does really well because MTV did so much for me.”
One of the reasons why she can hardly be entertained by The Hills is because she was part of it for so long. It’s not the casting of Kristin Cavallari that bothers her, but for now she’s stepping back from witnessing all that drama unfold.
And she does admit, there’s plenty of that in the new season. “I think people are liking it. They got some drama.”
Even though LC’s out of The Hills, there’s still plenty of her to go around. We’ve all heard of her bestselling novel LA Candy, and we know how she plans to turn it into a film. Well, the thought that it might be the next Twilight is getting more support thanks to recent events. I guess it’s another reason for me to stay away from it.
Moving on, Variety reports that Temple Hill Entertainment has already bought the rights to Lauren Conrad’s debut novel. The company’s partners Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey of Twilight fame are all geared up to produce. The reality TV star will certainly be involved, as she’ll take on the role of executive producer through her Blue Eyed Girl Prods. banner.
“Lauren, who became an icon in that reality show world, came to us with a structure of how to tell the story in an interesting fashion that was separate and apart from the book,” Bowen explained.
He went on to sing the praises of LA Candy, which is based on Lauren Conrad’s experiences with Laguna Beach and The Hills. It follows the exploits of a 19-year-old girl named Jane Roberts who moves to Hollywood and ends up starring in a reality television show.
“We loved her take. Her book is an honest portrayal of what it must be like to set out to be normal, then sign on to become famous and eventually realize, wow, this isn’t at all what I’d planned for myself.”
They’re all currently busy looking for a writer to pen the script, and that’ll come before they search for a studio/financier. Lauren Conrad will certainly be helping out with the script, even though she’s busy writing two more books as sequels to LA Candy.
Just like Twilight, it has been on the New York Times Bestseller list for weeks. Sans vampires, LC’s tome already has its share of creepy creatures, like those bitches forever sharpening their claws. It’s based on reality TV teenage drama, so what else can we expect? I can’t even begin to imagine who she’ll cast as the star of the movie.
One more cast expresses her desire to leave the “unscripted” series “The Hills“. Speaking to Hollyscoop on Tuesday, September 29, Stephanie Pratt revealed that she wants to quit the reality show after the tenth episode and that she will not be the only one. “I don’t know how much more I can take of The Hills. …The Hills is very brutal,” Stephanie said.
The younger sister of Spencer Pratt also mentioned that Audrina Patridge and Lo Bosworth will walk out with her. Several times before the fifth season went on air on MTV, Audrina herself said that she wanted to “graduate” from the show, speaking publicly that she doesn’t get along with the new star Kristin Cavallari who replaces Lauren Conrad.
Stephanie, on the other hand, stated that Kristin is not her reason of departure. “It’s not because of Kristin,” she said. “I was going to stay and see what happens after these ten episodes, but I just don’t think I can stand The Hills anymore.” With her leave, Stephanie envisioned that the show will fare much better with the new people and story lines.
In the meantime, Kristin is enjoying every moment of her time on “The Hills“, saying “I pretty much do anything they have me do because I don’t care. I mean, we’re filming a TV show. Let’s make it interesting. Let’s have a good time with it.” She was deemed “The B***h” in the promo made by MTV.

According to Stephanie Pratt’s interview with MTV News, the tagline in the trailer is definitely true when it comes to Cavallari and her bitchiness. Since her appearance on Laguna Beach, there have been some changes to the star. The attitude is definitely more intense this time around.
“It’s been five years, and I think she had a good five years to really get her bitchiness ready for The Hills,” Pratt revealed. Even Cavallari admitted she enjoys being the bad girl on this season, particularly because she’s trying to attract Audrina’s on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin Bobby.
Stephanie Pratt says that’s only the beginning of the chaotic love triangle that The Hills is diving into this year. Things will get even spicier for the cast now that Kristin and Audrina are sharpening their claws to fight over this guy. Is this the new Lauren-Heidi rivalry we’re about to see?
“Justin and Kristin make out, Kristin and Audrina hate each other” is Stephanie’s own gist of the whole story, which will snowball into a wild mess of a reality TV show. Fans will surely be anticipating all that when The Hills premieres its new season next week.
“I thought [the Justin and Kristin relationship] was the huge story, because it completely broke up sides and friendships and was a complete old mess,” Pratt went on. “Basically, I’m gonna sum this up as the Justin/Audrina/Kristin triangle — everyone thought that was crazy when they heard about it, [but] what’s in motion right now should be a different show.”

The official trailer of “The Hills” is released and true to the show’s nature, it is packed with drama. Lauren Conrad is no longer the centerpiece of the reality show, but her former “Laguna Beach” rival, Kristin Cavallari is. Some like Heidi Montag have no problem with her arrival but those like Audrina Patridge despise it.
“Lauren basically told us she’s a man eater. She’s a boyfriend stealer,” Audrina said. Stephanie Pratt who joins Audrina’s camp said “She’s like a disease you can’t get rid of,” adding later “She’s the girl that’s going to stab us all in the back and she doesn’t care.”
As seen in the trailer, Kristin flirts with Justin Bobby who happens to be Audrina’s ex. Later on Audrina took a further jab, saying “These are peoples’ lives that she’s messing with. People do have hearts and feelings.”
The world of “The Hills” will not only revolve around Kristin and the mess she’s creating but also on Heidi. Now that she is a wife, Heidi has been bitten by the baby bug but her husband Spencer Pratt said he is not ready to have kids. Meanwhile, Heidi’s sister Holly Montag is considering to go to rehab.
The trailer is ended with “The bitch is back”, Kristin kissing a guy and Heidi asking Cowboy Spencer “Are you going to wear that hat all day?”

After the much talked about split(well, with even chances of somebody’s throat) between, Paris Hilton and Doug Reinhardt, it is being rumored that both are spending time together in Fiji, while Reinhardt has been said to be trying desperate measure to woo the lady back into his life.
The couple, who broke-up in the month of June have been seen holidaying together on the Wadiji Island. The Hills star Reinhardt, who has been quite open about his love on Twitter is said to have spend a helluva on their holiday.
It being said that Reinhardt treated Hilton to a five-star holiday on the private Wadigi Island, costing 96,000 dollars and has also gifted a black pearl necklace worth 80,000 dollars to his ex. Should we call this Doug courting Paris?
Since their break-up last summer, the two have been doing an in-out in their relationship, however, the 28-year old blond , has been calling him, “a friend.”
She says, “I am having the time of my life. Doug has taken me on the most romantic vacation. He is my best friend.” Well, certainly this what we call a friendly romance.
Lauren Conrad’s move from The Hills is certainly doing her a lot of good. The star of the reality series ventured out to write her own book, LA Candy, which landed a spot on the New York Times’ bestseller list. That dose of fame apparently wasn’t enough though.
Conrad surely has big plans for LA Candy, and is hoping that it will hit the big screen soon. According to People, the actress might just opt to work behind the scenes this time. She has no intention to star in her movie, but she’ll certainly be the producer.
“Lauren’s goal is to get into producing – it always was,” a source told the publication. “It was always to make L.A. Candy into a film or TV show. She’s been in talks about it.”
The insider also added that there haven’t been any deals made between Lauren Conrad and any movie executives, but “that’s her ultimate goal.”
On an interview with New York Daily News, the star of the MTV series revealed that she’s still thinking things through. “I’m working on [adapting the book for the movies] right now, but I don’t want to commit to anything until I see all my options,” she confessed. “We have had a lot of exciting news in that respect, though.”
While she’s busy handling the camera for the upcoming project, Conrad admits that she hasn’t exactly considered who she’ll shoot. The part of LA Candy protagonist Jane Roberts has yet to be filled. “I haven’t even thought about it,” the celebrity said.
“She would never star in it because she doesn’t want to be an actress,” the source added. “She spent so long on TV, [she] would love to produce.”
Lauren Conrad might be pushing hard for a movie deal, but her status as an author remains stable. She’s practically done with her second book, the sequel to LA Candy.
“I actually finished the first draft – I’m doing edits right now,” the Hills
star revealed. “It picks up where the first left off. I signed a three-book deal, so this is all part of the same story. The second book will be more dramatic than the first. It’s a relief, because I didn’t have to worry about character introductions.”
Spencer and Heidi Pratt have been facing more controversies these days, fresh from their stint on I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here. This morning, the two Hills stars appeared on the NBC morning news show, Today. Apparently, they didn’t leave the drama back in the jungles of Costa Rica. They took it to Al Roker for their interview. 
Speidi, recently dubbed the “newlywed nuisance” of the wild, weren’t too pleased with how the weatherman’s questioning went. The two believed that they were going to be speaking with the show’s host Matt Lauer, but they got quite a grilling from Al Roker instead. None of the parties involved were amused.
Some of the comments that Al Roker posed included calling Spencer Pratt the show’s villain, going so far as saying he was a “jerk.” He even started off by saying Speidi was “the poster children for everything that’s wrong with celebrity in this country.” Below, you can find the video clip of what happened on the Today show.
Obviously, Al Roker got on the nerves of Hills diva Heidi Pratt, because she later made an appearance on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show to defend herself and her husband. “To be honest, I would never be interviewed by that man again,” she grumbled. “I really would advise women especially to be careful around him, because I feel like he definitely came and attacked me, and I did not appreciate that at all.”
Meanwhile, Spencer Pratt echoed her sentiments but with more perplexity than rage. “I’m still trying to figure out: Was the weatherman asking us questions?” he exclaimed.
His wife went on, claiming that what she underwent was humiliating and nothing she expected from the Today show. “I was shocked at how rude he was,” the Hills star continued. “I was crying afterwards because I couldn’t believe I felt personally attacked. He was yelling at me and saying, ‘Do you feel proud of this, do you feel proud of this?’ I wanted to say to him, ‘Do you feel proud of how you’re talking to me right now? I’m just a young woman and you’re coming at me so aggressively and meanly and mean-spirited.’”
As for Al Roker, he couldn’t get Speidi out of his head and even posted on his Twitter about them. “Heidi and Spencer are an interesting couple. famous for…being infamous. Bad and vacuous behavior. I think we’re at minute 11 of their 15.” He later added nonchalantly, “And the firestorm over Speidi continues. She claims I attacked her.”
While it seems as though Al Roker could’ve been too intimidating for Speidi, it’s likely that the whole incident is just another of their ploys for publicity. Of course, it’s no surprise to us if it turns out that way.
It was out with the old, in with the new (and insane) on The Hills as Speidi started couples’ counseling, Stephanie Pratt started her new job with Lauren Conrad, and Audrina Patridge started looking for a new man – with unexpected results.
We begin at the workplace …
Stephanie started at People’s Revolution and in no time, head honcho Kelly Cutrone berated her for leaving a drink on a desk and eating crackers over clothes. The next day, she ignored a ringing phone, hung up on someone, put off some key tasks, didn’t check in the right clothes and doodled on a sheet of paper. A clearly-pissed Lauren Conrad warned her friend, who she helped land the posh fashion-house gig with no experience whatsoever, to focus or she’d be fired.
Then, on the romance front …
On “boy lookout” since breaking it off with that loser Justin-Bobby, Audrina Patridge pondered her next move. LC suggested that there was no time like the present. With multiple dudes, if that’s what it takes to move on.
Everyone got in on the action on last night’s The Hills.
The girl posse, including Lo and Stephanie, met up for a night out with Frankie Delgado and Brody Jenner, who partook in crazy PDA with girlfriend Jayde Nicole.
Certainly nothing new for those two.
Justin-Bobby happened to be there too, natch, but ignored Audrina’s attempts to get his attention, then snapped at her a bit later on. What an absolute tool. Comforting her, Brody told Audzo she needs to have more fun and called her a beautiful girl. Jealous, Jayde Nicole responded by trying to inhale Brody’s face. Later, at a club, Justin-Bobby talked to Audrina in more civil, albeit no less idiotic, tones. Audrina lamented being “crazy in love with someone who doesn’t care about me.” Yup, that about sums it up – and it’s time to move on.
The following day at lunch, Audrina spoke fondly of strapping Mr. Jenner, upon which Lo Bosworth declared, “You’re so going to hook up with Brody.”
LC then hatched a plan to crash Brody, Frankie and Doug Reinhardt’s guys-only trip to Hawaii that Jayde was excluded from. Drama next week!
Meanwhile, in Speidiland …
In typical d-bag fashion, Spencer Pratt did what Spencer Pratt does when he’s having relationship problems – stalk Heidi Montag at her workplace. He said that bartender Stacie, who he famously flirted with in the season premiere, was not his type, and that he should not “feel caged up at 25.” The ‘Tag re-issued her ultimatum of him undergoing a couples counseling session prior to being taken back. The slimy one reluctantly agreed. Fittingly, the therapist labeled their “high school” problems as such, and asked the plastic pair to face each other and express their current feelings.
Heidi Montag didn’t like Spencer Pratt’s tone (shocking) and accused him of being checked out. The therapist asked why she is even with him then. Crickets.
Will counseling ultimately help Spencer and Heidi’s relationship?
