Last night’s episode of The Hills, “Elephant in the Room,” featured contrived romantic entanglements and Spencer Pratt absolutely going off on Heidi Montag’s family.
Basically, it was like almost every other episode of The Hills.
Beginning with the former category, Ryan Cabrera (yes, the lame singer) is having dinner with Audrina Patridge. These two have been dating for some time and seem happy.
That’s not what MTV wants you to think, though. Brody Jenner is dead set on pretending to want Audrina, even though he could’ve had her last year but chose Jayde Nicole.
Kristin Cavallari, meanwhile, is pondering a romance with Brody, who she used to date before fake-dating Justin-Bobby and before he was with Jayde (and LC before that).
It’s all the same, only the names change. And it’s all dull.
Elsewhere, Heidi Montag is planning a birthday party for cute neighbor kid Enzo, whose parents must really need the money to subject their son to this dysfunctional nonsense.
Brody later called the party the most awkward of his life. That can’t be far off.
The elephant in the room, of course, is Heidi’s plastic surgery and how Spencer loathes her family’s reaction to her transformed face and body. The tension grows palpable.
He lashes out hard at Holly. He bashes their mother. He blows his top, even worse than Spencer Pratt usually does. Calling her mom “just a vagina” … wow, dude. Wow.
Holly tells Heidi she was really shocked by some of the things Spencer said, that she felt “disrespected” and is unhappy about how Spencer treated her and their mom.
He retaliates that he was proud of himself for not saying what he really wanted to her … and tells her to please leave the premises or he will call the cops. Really.
Holly says that he scares her. We’re with her … but very much entertained.
With five and a half seasons of drama and a couple narrators under its belt, The Hills will soon be heading for the hills. MTV has announced that the show will be airing its final chapter this April, closing off the stories that each character has started off. It’s a total wrap-up of Speidi, Kristin Cavallari, Audrina Patridge, Speidi, Brody Jenner, Speidi and sometimes Justin Bobby.
All their tales will come to an end, but like us, they’ll move on from their lives. People reports that the 23-year-old Hills staple Heidi Montag told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show that she’s thrilled for it all to be over, because it means achieving new endeavors.
“I couldn’t be more excited to move on,” Heidi said. She went on with a tautological tirade about her life on and off screen, pointing out how different the two can be.
“I’ve been doing this since I was 18 on this show — on the reality of The Hills. And now I’m ready to show my reality. They’re very different. The Hills is a reality show about their reality — their narration, their editing, their point of view, their characters. My reality is my life.”
Hollyscoop reports that she might even move to Latin America with her husband soon, just to start anew. “I think we’re going to move to Costa Rica. It’s a new change, a new life, we’ve had so much going on, we just need to transition.”
Apparently, part of that new life is taking over that of Angelina Jolie’s. That’s right, Heidi Montag wants to be the next Lara Croft.
“I actually have been training with guns and knives for years,” the reality star revealed. “An action star would definitely be my dream role.”
But Hills creator Adam DiVello still has something in mind for Heidi Montag’s tale. He told Entertainment Weekly, “We tell the whole story. We pick right up where Heidi goes and sees her parents. And our cameras are there that minute the mother opens the door and sees her daughter for the first time.”
That would be the kick-off for the show’s final 12 episodes, which won’t actually consist of endings, but beginnings. There’s a new man for Audrina, the possibility of a baby for Spencer and Heidi, and the continuation of Kristin and Justin Bobby’s relationship. That is, if they’re still holding on to that idea.

With the help of the Internet, it took barely a couple of seconds for Kristin Cavallari to debunk rumors regarding her alleged drug use. Earlier in the day, reports flooded in that the star of MTV’s The Hills
garnered attention during the Super Bowl for being “wasted the entire time.” As we expected, she denied everything.
A source revealed to Us Weekly that the reality celebrity was spotted hunting for some cocaine during the said event. “She was going around to everyone, asking them to score her some coke,” said the insider.
“Her issues are becoming apparent to everyone. She’s getting scary-thin and not showering regularly,” the story went on. “She’s clearly unhealthy.”
Seconds after the news broke out, the 23-year-old Kristin Cavallari took to her Twitter account to refute and address the issue. It’s hardly a polite statement coming from her, but she is famous for her temper on The Hills.
“Get ur facts straight Us Weekly-ur article is complete BULLSHIT (sic),” she wrote.
The star’s rep also followed up with a less furious statement, telling E! Online: “She has no drug problem. US Weekly is a tabloid; they are no better then the National Enquirer. Don’t believe everything you read or hear.”
Other insiders have also supported the celebrity, citing instances wherein Kristin had a chance to take drugs but refused to. Maybe we ought to believe this charitable female,
despite her claims to being the “bad girl” of The Hills.
“That’s ridiculous. I have never seen her do coke,” the source explained to E! Online. “When she was in Miami she was partying till like 3 a.m. and didn’t do drugs once. And if there was anytime to do it, it would have been then!”
Well, Kristin and her pals may have already expressed their views on the rumor, but there’s one source we’re waiting to hear from. MTV hasn’t commented on the problem yet, though we’re pretty sure this will all blow over soon anyway. Unless they bring it all up on The Hills again; you know, for more drama.
Proving that you can own up to your mistakes, Audrina Patridge let the cameras roll for the Super Bowl party where she showed a bit too much skin. As a star of The Hills, that hardly is a problem. But sometimes things can get a little out of hand when it comes to being fashionable.
According to Hollywood Life, the 24-year-old Audrina suffered a wardrobe malfunction during the Maxim Party for Super Bowl XLIV last Saturday. She donned a black mini-dress that didn’t quite fit her well and was unable to contain her body properly.
The report goes on to say that “her boobs kept popping out while MTV cameras were rolling,” which means we’ll most likely see this on The Hills‘ upcoming season. Audrina just went with it, hoping this really would be a laugh to watch.
Whether or not this will boost ratings is still questionable, but you have to be proud of Audrina Patridge for being that comfortable with her body. Well, even though not all of us are excited to see that segment on television.
What we actually might still watch is the rest of the cast, who were also present during the party. They were all seated at a private table with the camera crew, and even had the whole area blocked off for themselves. Security was around for their safety as well, with bodyguards flanking their spot.
Joining Audrina were Kristin Cavallari, Lo Bosworth, and Stephanie Pratt. All four ladies seemed to have enjoyed the party entirely, without the presence of prominent Hills couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt.
AceShowbiz reports that at the end of the night, the girls headed outside and tried hailing cabs because they weren’t too fit to drive. Unfortunately, the producers of the MTV show reminded them that they weren’t allowed to ride taxis for the series. Still, they had enough drama for footage already thanks to Audrina. It really was some party for this reality TV cast.
Audrina Patridge needs to keep herself busy, ever since Kristin Cavallari stole the spotlight on The Hills
and even (sort of) took ex-boyfriend Justin Bobby from her. It’s a good thing the 24-year-old reality star has something to fall back on, not to mention someone to fall for.
According to Us Magazine, Audrina had just viewed the first scenes of her upcoming reality show and she’s more than thrilled about it. “I actually just saw the first scenes of my show today, and it’s hilarious,” she said.
She explained that she had just returned from a break in filming and was ready to get back on camera again. “I just got back from vacation, and I just started filming, so I’m trying to get back into work mode and back on schedule,” the Hills star announced. Part of her schedule will apparently be devoted to relieving herself of stress.
“I want to try yoga this year,” she told the publication. “I just want to try something stress-free and spiritual.”
Another activity she’s hoping to return to is the gym, because being on vacation didn’t give her time to work on her physique. Surely she won’t go all Heidi Montag on us and dive right into hours of plastic surgery, will she?
“I have not worked out at all!” Audrina exclaimed. “I’m going to go back to the gym with my trainer.”
But Audrina Patridge still has the looks and personality that will draw in the guys, and it looks like she’s already snagged one. The New York Daily News has reported that she and singer-songwriter Ryan Cabrera were spotted getting romantic with one another.
During a performance of Broadway’s Rock of Ages, Patridge and Cabrera were seen “holding hands and getting very cozy”, an insider revealed. When they went backstage for photos, they refused to be snapped together but instead went out to meet the cast.
Even though it looks like they’re keeping the relationship a secret, we’re bound to find out soon. That is, if any footage of them ever makes its way to Audrina’s new show.
Even though MTV has already confirmed its decision to push through with a new season of The Hills next year, dealing with the stars has been quite a hassle for the network. Reports have it that Audrina Patridge, who’s been hoping to leave it to work on her new show, is still under negotiations to return in 2010.
Usmagazine.com explains that the reality TV actress has rebuffed claims that she’s signed on for season 6. Celeblogger Perez Hilton claimed that the executives have convinced her to stay on for more episodes of The Hills instead, but a rep of Audrina’s says this isn’t so.
“Audrina is still in discussions with MTV about Season 6 of The Hills,” Patridge’s representative revealed. “There is not a firm deal in place. She is set to begin filming the pilot episode of her new show next week, in Los Angeles.”
The 24-year-old star has long since expressed her desire to leave The Hills for quite some time now. “I’m moving on. At times, I feel like I’m in high school, but I didn’t even go through this stuff in high school,” she declared in the past. However, if she thinks about it, there’s more fame in store for her once she appears in both shows.
A source told the publication that both The Hills and Audrina’s self-titled series could run side-by-side. But really, her exit in the finale is already apt enough. She’s already said goodbye to Justin Bobby, what other reason could there be for her to return?
Still, it doesn’t look like Audrina Patridge is ready to let go of the show that shot her to stardom. There’s the possibility that she’ll cross over from one show to the next, in the hopes of tying up loose ends. And, of course, causing even more drama for the cast of The Hills. Surely Kristin Cavallari knows how that goes.
Being semi-famous has been a boon and a bane for Kristin Cavallari, or maybe she was just in the right place at the wrong time. On the previous episodes of The Hills, we saw her heading to Vegas with her friend Stacie. What we didn’t catch is that she was supposedly harassed by a stripper there.
According to a report by Contact Music, the reality TV star didn’t have quite a grand time in Las Vegas as she hoped. Apparently, one of the nude ladies onstage decided to go near and practically turn her into one of them.
“I got molested by a stripper,” the Hills star revealed. “Thank God I was wearing pants. She took my legs, spread them, put them up in the air and she blew on my hoo-hoo and was rubbing her nasty boobies in my face.”
Cavallari then went on to say, as though joking: “I probably wouldn’t be as upset if she was good looking (sic); she wasn’t cute, let’s just put it that way.”
Even though she didn’t enjoy her trip to Vegas, she got something out of it. Or out of her whole stint on The Hills
anyway. The Examiner reports that Kristin Cavallari was named “Foxiest Frenemy” on OK! Magazine’s “TV’s Top Bad Girls” ranking.
She was honored for fulfilling her intention to be the show’s new “bitch”, a persona she really set loose since her arrival on The Hills. Cavallari was given that title specifically for charming Justin Bobby and swiping her from Audrina Patridge’s clutches. It was also for rekindling her relationship with Brody Jenner.
The magazine went on to quote Cavallari on how much she enjoyed her role on the MTV series. It’s not just that, since she’s also fond of being around the boys and flirting with them. She’s definitely deserving of that foxy frenemy honor.
“Guys like naughty,” the reality star said. “Honestly, I think it’s fun to play the bad girl, and no one remembers the nice girl, you know?”
Kristin Cavallari has been making and breaking up relationships on The Hills
lately, from the Audrina-Justin triangle and now to the Jayde-Brody one. With all the drama being stirred up, you’d think it was Laguna Beach all over again. But Jayde Nicole is hoping to prevent that, insisting that she and Brody are still together with Kristin out of the picture.
The 23-year-old Playboy model who has recently been getting plenty of airtime on The Hills told Usmagazine.com about the current status of their relationship. She bashed the breakup rumors, but who knows when they’ll pop up again?
“Yes, we’re still together,” Jayde Nicole revealed. She was spotted at the launch party for the Behold II by Samsung in Los Angeles, held last Wednesday. She went on to say that she’ll stick up for the 26-year-old Jenner, no matter what comes between them.
Just last week, Jayde proved just how much she disliked the presence of Kristin Cavallari on The Hills. The two of them came face-to-face in a yelling match, where the model insulted the newcomer and told her to return to where she came from.
But it looks as though Kristin Cavallari’s bound to continue with her schemes on The Hills, since the cast will start filming another season. Jayde Nicole revealed, “Brody and I are already wrapped [for season five] and I’m sure the rest of the cast will wrap this week. There will be a sixth season and it starts filming right after New Years.”
Well, they’re starting off a new installment with some applause. Apparently, Kristin was honored at the Us Weekly Hot Hollywood Awards for the Comeback of the Year distinction.
Co-star Stephanie Pratt was pleased at how things have worked out for Cavallari, since she’s one of the few who hasn’t incurred her wrath. “I think it’s fab,” she told MTV News. “I’m living by ‘grateful and not hateful.’ I love everyone. I’m just trying to be happy for everyone. So congratulations to Kristin. [She] so deserves it.”
Maybe Jayde Nicole has other things in mind as to what Kristin Cavallari deserves. Let’s just see what other conflicts arise on The Hills
