It looks like these reality stars can talk their way out of anything, or at least a DUI arrest. Stephanie Pratt, star of MTV’s The Hills, reportedly managed to avoid getting behind bars by making a deal to go on probation instead. She certainly won’t be donning that orange jumpsuit anytime soon.
According to E! Online, the 23-year-old reality celebrity had already reached an agreement with the district attorney regarding her Oct. 18 detainment. This occurred last year, after the birthday celebration of fellow Hills star Holly Montag in Hollywood.
During her trial last Thursday, she pleaded guilty to the reduced charge of exhibition of speeding at the time of the incident. She then swore to enroll in a three-month alcohol-treatment program, in addition to joining Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. Following that is her promise to manage 36 months or three years of probation.
Her attorney, Jon Artz, said that the party was able to agree on the deal because there was no evidence of Stephanie Pratt actually driving drunk. They all believed that the resolution was indeed fair, as well as essential to the Hills star’s recovery. Even she concurs that this result is the best choice.
“I’m happy about the outcome,” Stephanie Pratt told the publication. “I enrolled in Betty Ford Clinic for two weeks right after my DUI arrest.”
What’s more, Artz said that his client has learned a “valuable lesson” from this whole occurrence. Combining drinking with driving should be far from the reality star’s mind after this whole fiasco.
But even though she’s under probation, the Hills star will return to her regular filming schedules for the upcoming season of the show. There will no doubt be more drama for the reality series, given the developments in the lives of these celebs.
Still, shooting for season 6 of The Hills
begins this week. “I’m looking forward to getting back to work,” Stephanie exclaimed.
Kristin Cavallari has been making and breaking up relationships on The Hills
lately, from the Audrina-Justin triangle and now to the Jayde-Brody one. With all the drama being stirred up, you’d think it was Laguna Beach all over again. But Jayde Nicole is hoping to prevent that, insisting that she and Brody are still together with Kristin out of the picture.
The 23-year-old Playboy model who has recently been getting plenty of airtime on The Hills told Usmagazine.com about the current status of their relationship. She bashed the breakup rumors, but who knows when they’ll pop up again?
“Yes, we’re still together,” Jayde Nicole revealed. She was spotted at the launch party for the Behold II by Samsung in Los Angeles, held last Wednesday. She went on to say that she’ll stick up for the 26-year-old Jenner, no matter what comes between them.
Just last week, Jayde proved just how much she disliked the presence of Kristin Cavallari on The Hills. The two of them came face-to-face in a yelling match, where the model insulted the newcomer and told her to return to where she came from.
But it looks as though Kristin Cavallari’s bound to continue with her schemes on The Hills, since the cast will start filming another season. Jayde Nicole revealed, “Brody and I are already wrapped [for season five] and I’m sure the rest of the cast will wrap this week. There will be a sixth season and it starts filming right after New Years.”
Well, they’re starting off a new installment with some applause. Apparently, Kristin was honored at the Us Weekly Hot Hollywood Awards for the Comeback of the Year distinction.
Co-star Stephanie Pratt was pleased at how things have worked out for Cavallari, since she’s one of the few who hasn’t incurred her wrath. “I think it’s fab,” she told MTV News. “I’m living by ‘grateful and not hateful.’ I love everyone. I’m just trying to be happy for everyone. So congratulations to Kristin. [She] so deserves it.”
Maybe Jayde Nicole has other things in mind as to what Kristin Cavallari deserves. Let’s just see what other conflicts arise on The Hills
