The Hills: It’s a Dog (Birth)Day for Heidi Montag

At 23 years old, Heidi Montag already has plans to have a baby.  Unfortunately for her, her husband Spencer Pratt isn’t that keen on the idea.  It’s probably why they opted to go the way of the dog.

starlet received a puppy from Spencer.  People reports that the two spent Tuesday together for the occasion, and he surprised Heidi with the new addition to the Speidi family.

The 9-week-old pup has been named Dolly, after country singer Dolly Parton.  How do we add that to the celeb nickname?  Speidilly?

“Spencer gave me the best gift ever, a maltipoo puppy that we have named Dolly,” Heidi told the publication.  Even though she didn’t’ get a baby of her own yet (as if those just came in a package or something), she still has a new pet.  Let’s hope it won’t be as fame-hungry as the couple.

“I’m so excited today is my birthday,” Heidi went on.  “Thank you, God, for every moment you have given me and blessing me with my wonderful husband.”

Apparently, the puppy doesn’t just serve as a birthday gift for Heidi.  Spencer Pratt posted an update on his Twitter account saying it was to make his wife stop thinking of kids for a while.

“I got Heidi this [dog], so she would stop trying to make baby,” he admitted.  Well, it seems to have worked for now.

Heidi’s special day also consisted of a dinner at Speidi’s favorite restaurant – Wolfgang Puck’s CUT inside the Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire hotel.  It was the same place they had their wedding rehearsal dinner.  The place also has the couple’s faces on its walls, which is probably another reason why Speidi enjoyed the experience so much.

“Best birthday ever!!!” Heidi wrote on her Twitter.  “It’s my first bday married to the love of my life.  Thank you all for your birthday wishes and blessing!! 23 today!  Thank you, God, for every moment of my life that you have given me!!”
