The Hills: Lo Bosworth Worried that Heidi’s Surgery Obsession Sends Wrong Message
We have another update on what the Hills stars think of Heidi Montag’s 10-a-day plastic surgery operations, because it apparently is a major concern in this day and age. Well, today’s report makes a bit more sense than usual, since it’s a reprimand of the reality celeb’s actions.
The Hills‘ own Lo Bosworth talked to People magazine about what she thought of Heidi’s recent proclamation, following the footsteps of co-stars Audrina and Jayde. Unlike
those two, however, she isn’t all that concerned about Montag’s well-being. She’s more worried about what other girls who look up to Heidi – if there are still any – would do.
“I hope that girls don’t read the article, look at the decisions that Heidi made, and think that’s normal,” the 23-year-old Bosworth told the publication. “She was quoted as saying that [practically] every celebrity in Hollywood has these procedures done, every day . . . And that’s just not true. I would never want young girls to read that and think it’s the standard that they need to be measured by.”
She knows that her co-star really is famous for sharing a bit too much when it comes to these things, but hopes that others won’t hang on her every word. It’s not like everyone’s just taking Heidi Montag that seriously.
Still, Lo Bosworth doesn’t entirely condemn plastic surgery. She, like the rest of us, was just shocked at the number of operations that Heidi Montag went through. As a general idea, this Hills star believes that it’s okay as long as it’s not excessive.
“I am not against it,” Bosworth announced. She added that moderation would be the best solution to this dilemma.
“If some wrinkles come across my face, sure, I’ll get a little Botox, it’s not a big deal,” she explained. “I think you should do what you want to do to take care of yourself. I just hope that the girls who look up to us and watch us don’t look at what Heidi did as the only way to be successful and beautiful.”
